BEHIND DIVINE CHARM

Hi, I’m Cami, the founder and maker behind Divine Charm.

Born in Bogotá and now based in Auckland, I’ve always been drawn to colour, design and pieces with a bit of character. Jewellery has always been part of that for me — especially earrings that can completely change the feel of an outfit.

Divine Charm began when I wanted to learn how to make that kind of jewellery for myself. I had never embroidered before, so I started from scratch. What began as curiosity became a craft I wanted to master, and eventually a business I’ve built and grown here in Auckland over the past two years.

My mum is a fine artist, and creativity has always been part of my world. She encouraged me to make things with my hands, follow my ideas and see where they could take me. That stayed with me.

Today, I design and hand-embroider every Divine Charm piece myself. I’m drawn to colour, but also to balance — creating pieces that can stand out when you want them to, or bring something special to a more understated look.

I care about the details: how the colours work together, how a piece sits when you wear it, how it feels, and how everything comes together as a finished piece.

Divine Charm has grown through making, learning and meeting people here in Auckland — especially at the markets, where I get to see the jewellery leave my hands and become part of someone else’s style.
